Boarding the ship for passport home
The Moving Crew is a group of cultural animators creating interactive installations that gently agitate ideas of community, movement, and transformation. We are artists with individual practices who come together to generate projects that are larger and more diverse than our private endeavors. Working in collaboration challenges each of us to remain accountable to our community at large and actively engages us in the practice of re-formulating ethical creative relationships.
We create temporary projects that respond to the specifics of place and are sensitive to local culture. These projects are diverse by nature but have the common thread of challenging the expectations of banal daily experience. We operate within a spirit of generosity. We use the tools of workshops, printed ephemera, and performance to facilitate an audience's engagement with our constructed environments.
